The Lytton Arms is situated in the picturesque North Hertfordshire countryside and adjoins the Knebworth Estate, home of the Lytton family for many centuries. It is a popular destination for ramblers, cyclists and local business people.

We pride ourselves on being a master cask conditioned Real Ale House, offering a variety of Real Ales from all over the country.  With ten varieties of real ales available as well as Real Ciders and very popular beer festivals, the Lytton Arms is a favoured destination for beer connoisseurs.  We also offer an extensive Wine List including Champagne which we sell by the bottle or glass.

The Lytton Arms prides its self on home made food, cooked to order using only the best locally sourced fresh produce.  We offer a varied menu ranging from bar snacks to three course meals and Chefs Specials both lunchtime and evenings.  Not forgetting of course the traditional Sunday roast.  We also cater for large groups and private functions.

The pub boasts an attractive beer garden to the rear featuring regular BBQ’s.  Seating at the front of the building has spectacular views of the Knebworth Estate making it a perfect place to sit and relax on a summers day or evening.

The original Lytton Arms Pub was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the brother-in-law of Lord Lytton. Built around 1877 it replaced the previous Inn which is now a private residence next door.

The Inn was originally built for Hawkes and Company of Bishops Stortford whose original logo may still be seen in the wrought iron work of the pub sign located at the front of the building.  This is believed to be the last remaining artefact of the brewery.
